  • Concept Art & DMP Development Work
    Personal and Professional work
  • Here are a few examples of Concept Art and DMP work that I have created. I have a lot of work in development that I hope to show soon, but hopefully this gives an idea of the type of concept work I create....
  • This was some character development work showing stages of the painting up to this point. I used to always sketch out a painting first, but find this approach gives better results. Here I work out rough form and lighting, then push the paint around slowly working in details.
  • Futuristic London concepts depicting how the Thames may have flooded surrounding areas leading to derelict bridges in the foreground. Created as part of a series of concepts for Blake's 7.
  • As I currently commute to work each day, I try and work up concepts or anything that comes in to my head at the time - whilst on the train. This is part of a series on environmental concepts I am currently working on.
  • One of a series of concepts for a salvage craft. This was based on a flea, the many mechanical arms / legs allowing the craft to attach to derelict craft and debris.
  • Another spur of the moment concept created on the train. I was more interested in mood and lighting than the dragon. Yet another concept worth developing at some point.
  • Matte painting development work
  • Another concept created on the train...
  • More personal work...
  • One of my older pieces of work, but I still like it even if there is a lot I would add to it if I was to create this now.
  • Again, older work I created for Franklyn, but very similar to the final shots.
